Senate President calls for law enforcement investigation of possible rape cover-up

jjc 031419Senate President John Cullerton is calling for a law enforcement investigation of a possible politically connected rape cover-up that came to light in a recent WBEZ story.

Cullerton issued the following statement:

“I urge law enforcement to investigate and get to the bottom of this disturbing situation. Sexual assault will not be tolerated. If anyone has information about this crime, please contact police. I am appalled at the idea that someone would be politically rewarded for covering up a rape. We are all outraged and want answers.”
