collins 071025CHICAGO – Following Pure Lithium Corporation’s announcement of relocating its headquarters to Chicago, State Senator Lakesia Collins emphasized the importance of clean energy and Illinois’ Economic Growth Plan.

“By moving its operations to Chicago, Pure Lithium is joining a legacy of companies in Illinois’ manufacturing industry that are contributing to the clean energy ecosystem,” said Collins (D-Chicago). “These investments support the goals of growing the clean energy production and manufacturing industries, as outlined in Illinois’ Economic Growth Plan.”

Pure Lithium Corporation’s $46 million relocation is supported by the Senate Democrat-backed Reimagining Energy and Vehicles in Illinois program (REV Illinois). The program is designed to attract clean energy and jobs to Illinois, while supporting the state’s goal of 100% clean energy by 2050. As a result of their move to Illinois and the creation of 50 new jobs, Pure Lithium fulfills the requirements to receive REV incentives through the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. The investment aligns with the efforts to increase sizeable investments, job creation and economic growth in Illinois, as part of Illinois’ Economic Growth Plan.

Pure Lithium plans to finish its relocation to Chicago’s Fulton Market in the 25th Senate District this year. The move to Fulton Market will allow Pure Lithium to join several other corporations working toward technological innovation while gaining access to the highly advanced workforce of engineers in the Chicago area.
